On January 18, 2021, our country will pause and remember a civil rights hero, Dr. Martin Luther King. Since 1994, MLK Day has been a national day of service – a “day on, not a day off.” ServeOhio is proud to sponsor and promote this day of service in Ohio in partnership with AmeriCorps and the American Electric Power Foundation. This year, we’re providing funding support for ten organizations who will engage 312 volunteers across the state in celebration of MLK Day. Learn more about how you can get involved this year.
It has been a tough year. Like organizations across the country and the world, ServeOhio made major shifts to our programming in 2020 and transitioned to a virtual office. While the challenges were great this year, it was also a year where we saw incredible resiliency, passion for service, and new opportunities. As we prepare to ring in the new year and hope for a brighter 2021, we wanted to take a minute to reflect on the good stuff from 2020.
Get Connected is ServeOhio’s new volunteer engagement platform and is the only statewide volunteer portal in Ohio. The site compiles volunteer engagement resources from across the state and helps volunteer engagement professionals recruit and manage volunteers for their organization. The best part - it's free!
